Pictures show us part of the story, and print carries the words. We start at the top, read each line from left to right, then move down to the next line.
Spend 5–10 minutes exploring how a book and its print work. Find the front cover and title, open to a page, point to the first word at the top-left, slide a finger under the print from left to right, then move down from top to bottom and turn to the next page.
